Position Overview

We are looking for options strategists to join our proprietary trading firm. You will design and execute multi-leg options strategies using firm-allocated capital, leveraging volatility analysis and Greeks-based positioning to generate consistent returns in a fully remote trading environment.

Location: Boston, MA

Employment Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

Experience Level: 2+ years trading or managing investments

Key Responsibilities

• Construct and execute options trades aligned with your defined edge and risk tolerance
• Track volatility surfaces, skew, and term structure to inform strategy selection
• Size positions appropriately using portfolio-level risk metrics, not just per-trade stops
• Adjust hedges and roll positions in response to changing market conditions
• Document trade theses, entries, exits, and post-trade reviews for ongoing improvement
• Engage with peer traders to share market views and refine strategy ideas

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience trading options or currencies
• Solid understanding of derivatives markets and trading fundamentals
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills under pressure
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and results-oriented
• Stable computer setup and reliable high-speed internet connection
• Familiarity with trading platforms is a bonus

Position Details

• Independent contractor (1099) arrangement with performance-only compensation
• Tiered profit splits ranging from 65% to 90% based on consistency and results
• Starting capital allocation up to $50,000, with clear progression to $500,000+
• Remote-first firm with traders across multiple regions and time zones
• Capital reviews on a recurring two-month cadence for qualified traders
• Specifics on incentives and advancement opportunities reviewed at interview
